Do you struggle day to day to pay your mortgage, put food on the table and pay for the extras that make you happy? Do you feel like no matter what you do there is never enough money at the end of the month? Or dream of the day when you have created enough financial abundance to get ahead and stop living paycheck to paycheck?
If you answered "Yes" to any other these questions, rest assured you are not alone. According to a new survey conducted for GoBankingRates, 49% of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Many people belief their lack of wealth and abundance is directly related to their level of education, years of experience in their job field (or lack of experience) or geographic location. All of these factors can contribute to their current situation, but the truth of the matter is, it begins with their belief system on a subconscous level. There are mental blocks that can be preventing you from having all the abundance you will ever need or desire.
What are your beliefs about money? Many of us have been programmed to believe that there is not enough money to go around. Or have experienced (or are experiencing) a lack of abundance. Our society has taught us that money is a tool by which we gauge how well we are doing, or are perceived to be doing by our peers. Lack of abundance often leads to emotions such as anxiety, frustration, anger and fear.
Some of the most common mental blocks regarding having financial abundance are:
- I don't deserve it.
- There is not enough money to go around for everybody.
- Money is the root of all evil.
- Wealthy people are dishonest and greedy.
- If I am wealthy, my friends will not like me anymore.
- I might forget you I am and where I came from, and change into someone I will not like.
